Leaf Lard

Leaf Lard - The Chef & Bakers Condiment

Our Leaf Lard is made by slowly rendering down the leaf fat which is from the abdomen and around the kidneys, from the high quality Warwickshire based pork we source. The process is slow to ensure the end product does not overcook and have a porky flavour. It’s crystal clear when complete and sets to a perfect white colour which is ideal for baking as well as cooking in general.

Using lard is better than vegetable oils, the fat contains less unsaturated fat than butter, which means it’s actually better for you than many types of fat. Used in moderation it’s one of the best sorts of fat to use.

Why not try this Leaf Lard for the following recipe ideas:

  • Roast Chicken
  • Biscuits
  • Porchetta
  • Pork Pie
  • Sautéed Potatoes
